Lake Maggiore (Baveno) will be "home" for the next two days of our tour ... a beautiful lake resort. We arrived at 5:00 p.m. and discovered our tour had been updated to a different hotel, the Grand Hotel Dino located right on the lake. What a gorgeous setting ... a perfect place for restoration and relaxation! So much of the area reminds us of Wallowa Lake ... but much warmer and snazzier.
We walked around the grounds and out by the pools before dinner. On this evening we will celebrate five graduations in our group.
We dined by the window and enjoyed a beautiful view of the lake as well as the good company around the table.
After dinner several in our group walked toward town. For the late evening hour there was still a warm breeze reminding us of evenings we've walked on the beach in Hawaii. We walked by a restaurant with live music and people were dancing.This place just filled my mind with happy memories.
